Camp Gladiator is one of the fastest-growing all-in-one fitness and nutrition platforms designed for Fitness Trainers, Nutrition Coaches, and their members. They help trainers and coaches grow their businesses by providing marketing and customer support. Their mission is to positively impact the health, fitness, and ultimately the lives, of as many people as possible.
The Challenge
Camp Gladiator was in the middle of a re-org and had hard to meet deadlines on the horizon. They also had a need for experienced team leaders to guide projects toward success. To solve this challenge, Camp Gladiator partnered with Pragmint.
The Transformation
Pragmint worked within Camp Gladiator’s teams to contribute to and guide software development. Despite being a newcomer, Pragmint made a significant impact on the team in a short period of time. Pragmint shared coding practices and principles to improve the team’s delivery process. As a result, Camp Gladiator was able to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
The Results
Camp Gladiator made it easy for Pragmint to provide value. They created processes to enable strong personal relationship development among team members. Leadership provided a safe space for team members to suggest alternative architectural options. Many team members had a strong desire to learn from others.
As a result, Pragmint was able to:

- Streamline the backlog grooming process to improve efficiency
- Increase deployment frequency and improve delivery agility
- Define and deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with valuable follow-on releases guided by user feedback

Launched a strength training program
Pragmint worked alongside the Camp Gladiator team to launch a strength training program. This program enabled them to expand their fitness offerings.
Launched a trainer dashboard that replaced their Salesforce subscription
Pragmint helped develop a trainer dashboard that replaced Camp Gladiators’ expensive Salesforce subscription. This reduced business costs, and trainers could now interact with customers directly and view reports.
Drove adoption of quality coding practices
As Pragmint developed alongside their team, they shared quality coding practices and principles. Some of those principles included:
- SOLID principles
- Imperative Shell and Functional Core principles
- Incremental Improvement
The developers we worked with had preferred ways of working that, in some cases, contradicted the practices listed above. Through working closely with these individuals, we were able to alter the way code was being crafted to enhance its quality, ease of maintenance, and security.
Simplified their data pipeline architecture
Camp Gladiator needed to add capabilities to their data pipeline architecture. Pragmint took note and provided a solution that simplified their system. By doing so, we reduced the amount of work that needed to be done, saving valuable time and money.
